Huge clone of over 1000 plants in ca 260 m circumference, this plant from southwest side of clone, ca 7/8 m (w) x 5/6 m (h), leaves gray-green, flower stalk ca 5-1/2 m tall, 87 mm in diameter at 1-3/4 m high, green with maroon vertical striations, with 26 lateral branches down 1/3 of stalk, these ascending to stalk, flowers with pedicel 14 mm long, green, maroon flushed especially at base, ovary, neck, tube green, ovary very lightly flushed with maroon, neck and tube more flushed, one side flushed with maroon, tepal lobes yellow (-light chartreuse), darker tips, all lobes brown-tipped, filaments light chartreuse basally, yellow distal 5/6, anthers yellow-light chartreuse, style light chartreuse basally, light yellow distal 7/8, stigma darker; flowers thick, shiny, tepals flaring/ascending, quickly incurved near apices, soon wilting; flower measurements after Gentry (1982) in mm, beginning dehiscence: tl=70, o=33(l)x12(w), n=8, tu=11(l)x17(w), fil ins=8.5, fil=50, a=20, outer tepal=22x8(base), 6(mid), inner tepal=20x8(base), 3(mid), sty=82; tl=68, o=33(l)x12(w), n=5, tu=13(l)x18(w), fil ins=10,11, fil=45, a=20, outer tepal=22x7.5(base), 5.5(mid), inner tepal=23x8.5(base), 5.5(mid), sty=71.
