Erect spreading herb. Open sandy ground. Annual. Soil: sand. Flowers: in small clusters, greenish, no odor. Leaves: opposite, sessile, oblong, obtuse, smooth. Fruit: a small three lobed capsule. Bark: pale. Roots: fiberous. Frequent in the sandy soil in Willacy and Kenedy counties.
