Habit erect tufted grass; habitat open dry ground; annual; perennial roots; soil clay; flowers are on open panicles; color greenish; odor none; month Oct.-Nov.; leaves are narrow and smooth, mostly from base; fruit brown or tan color; bark pale green; roots fibrous. Frequent, but mostly mature at this date.
