Common in standing water in marshy spot of east meadow.

P. interruptus HBK, det W.A. Weber 1994. In P. elongatus, glumes coarsely ciliate, esp. along the keel; in P. interruptus cilia are fine & not at all conspicuous. Hitchcock's differentiation on basis of relative attenuation of glumes ...not easily made. Original ID: Polypogon elongatus HBK.
