Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Carex stricta and Agrostis gigantea dominated area on stream's edge. Juniperus commuis between quadrat and stream. Shrub encroached area with Cornus foemina, Corylus americanus, Toxicodendron vernix, and Salix spp. Ground moist and slightly wet.
