Prairie fen mostly round in shape with large Typha pond/stream in center. Surrounded by wooded upland. Encroachment by shrubs (Cornus, Spiraea alba, Toxicodendron vernix), especially from the north. There are large patches of Typha, Lythrum salicaria, and Phalaris arundinacaea in the northeast. The northwest has amazingly low number of invasives seen. No signs of management but many tracks of trucks or ATVs. Also, many invasives (Phalaris arundinacea and Lythrum salicaria) along creek. Some Frangula alnus in the southwest. In southern portion of prairie fen, 200m from southern wooded border, 200m from western wooded border, 1m south of dense Typha and shrubs. Area dominated by Typha and Carex with many dense shrubs of Betula pumila, Toxicodendron vernix, Rhamnus alnifolia, Salix, and Cornus. A 5-6m tamarack tree is 5m east. Ground hummocky with standing water.
