Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In southeastern most portion of prairie fen, lots of shrub and invasive encroachment from both southern and eastern border. Trees common at least 1 every 10m2. Area dominated by Phalaris arundinacea, asters, some Carex, and saplings. Shrubs include Frangula alnus, Lonicera, and Cornus. Ground +/- even with downed wood, moist.
