Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. About 15m east of Little Goose Creek; wetter area with shrub encroachment. Dasiphora fruticosa, Frangula alnus, and Salix spp. Ground wet but not inundated; Phragmites australis about 50m to the North.
