Description: Locally common, some plants in population with fruits, single, leaves gray-green, suggested of A. verdensis introgression, flower stalk ca 6 m tall, 61 mm in diameter at 1-3/4 m from ground, maroon-purple, lateral branches 18, slightly ascending, relatively short, down 3/10 of stalk, old plant in clone with fruits, carpenter bee; flowers with ovary, neck light olive-chartreuse, tube lighter suffused with dark golden yellow, tepal lobes dark golden yellow, outer tepals with dark brown tips, filaments, style golden yellow, anthers yellow; measurements after Gentry (1982) in mm: tl=49, o=21x7, n=5, tu=14.5(l)x12.5(w), fil ins=5, 6, fil=53, a=8.5 (dehiscing), outer tepal=9x6(base), 4.4(mid), inner tepal=9x5.5(base), 3.7(mid), sty=52;tl=47, o=22x6.5, n=5, tu=10(l)x12(w), fil ins=5, 4.5, fil=49, a=9.5 (dehiscing), outer tepal=9.5x7(base), 4.5(mid), inner tepal=9x6(base), 3.5(mid), sty=50; ovary smooth, tube bulging, tepals clasping, musky-sweet smell.
