Plant height 3.5 feet by 6 feet, pads blue-gray-green; spines grayish-brown or tan or white or golden with dark tips, spines are flat and wider at base, 3-5 spines per areole, 1 erect spine; golden-brown glochids on apex of older pads; flowers closing, collected mid-afternoon, flower diameter 61-68 mm, length 80-90 mm, outer perianth peach with greenish midstripe with a blush of red, inner perianth yellow at top, reddish-orange-pink at base with faint darker midstripe, drying to red; stigma lobe number 8-12, color bright green; slightly thigmotrophic positive; dry fruit collected by Rosemary Trelease, 18 November 2008, diameter 22-28 mm, length 34-41 mm, color tan; seeds tan, 4.3 mm.
