Substrate of soil derived from Cedar Mesa sandstone of bounding cliffs & resting on Elephant Can. Form., limestone member; sandy loose soil.
Low clumps; rays white to pale pink above, pink beneath; common & widespread. Along road on W facing, open bench above creek & below cliffs in loose sandy soil with associated species.
