Description: Uncommon to infrequent, single, stalk 6 m tall, inflorescence down 2/5+ stalk, stalk thick, flowers musky-sweet, ovary green, tube orange-yellow-light chartreuse, tepal lobes orange-yellow, outer tepal tips dark brown, tepals clasping, erect, filaments, anthers, style light orange-yellow; flower measurements after Gentry (1982), in mm, from fresh flowers collected 11 June, the clusters soaked in water, opening 15 June: pedicel=4.5, tl=54, o=24x6, n=4.5, tube=15.5(h)x16(w), fil ins=8, 10.5, fil=45, a=13, dehiscing, outer tepal=11x7(base), 5.5(mid), inner tepal 10.5x8(base), 6(mid), sty=45.
