Locality:
United States, West Virginia, Summers, From West Virginia Highway 20 in Hinton, follow Hwy. 3 west about 1.25 miles. Along banks of Beech Run Creek .
Habitat:
Growing in moist soil. In partly shaded/filtered light location.

Description:
Corolla yellow with proximal brownish spotting ans short spur terminating lowermost petal. Flowers few, axillary. Capsule explosive. Leaves coarsely serrate, pale beneath. Stems glabrous, swollen at nodes. Annual herb, often exceeding 1 m.
